She Codes addresses the gender gap in the computer and ICT industry with the goal to inspire young girls to pick an interest as well as pursue a professional degree in computer science and computer engineering.
The introduction of mobile computing lab (In Nigeria) is an innovation to be led by GIDN. The mobile computing/coding lab will see that more young girls in public secondary schools across Nigeria and other African girls are influenced and trained to be technologically savvy programmers to take the lead in Africa. Young girls will be trained to be adept in subjects like computer science, robotics, web design etc. They will have opportunities to be mentored by female leaders in the I.T industry.
